TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS

 

Brembo SPORT EVO 500 + is for use in systems hydraulic brake and clutch of all motorcycles for which a non-oil brake fluid is required.
It has been specially formulated satisfy the performance of the braking system.
Il dmeets the requirements of the United States FMVSS 116 specification DOT4.
Brembo SPORT EVO 500 + mix safe with other brake and clutch fluids DOT 3, DOT 4 and DOT 4 5:1.
For maximum safety and performance, Brembo recommends changing this liquid every year.
Not suitable for vehicles requiring mineral brake fluids.

 

BRAKE PURGE

Use only brake fluid with a boiling point DOT 3 or DOT 4.
Use only brake fluid from a new and sealed can.
Replace the brake fluid before each race.
Note:
The use of liquids other than brake fluids can damage the braking system components.

Procedure :

To purge the brakes, follow:
Turn the handlebar until the tank is horizontal.
Fill the brake fluid tank; When purged, avoid letting the brake fluid level down below the MIN level.
Repeat several times to complete the partially braking system.
Insert a transparent flexible hardness on the purge screw.
Clean a single purging screw at once.
Pull the brake lever over the entire race and hold it in this position
Desert the purge screw (initially only from the air will come out), then tighten the purge screw (lightly).
Let the brake lever return to its initial position and wait a few seconds. Repeat the above steps until there is no more air bubbles
 

Press the purge screws to the recommended clamping torque and fill the brake fluid tank.
Check that there are no leaks from the various connections and connections.
If the braking system has been properly purged, the dead lever race will be almost zero, you will feel the direct action of the fluid without a spongy "spongy" feeling, if not, repeat the purge procedure.
Sturge your braking system regularly, especially after rolling in the rain. In this case, always starting with the master-cylinder, the air always goes up.

N.B: The brake fluid corrodes the paint

Remarks

If the lever appears too elastic following the purge procedure, proceed as follows:
Remove a brake pad from a caliper.
Apply the brakes repeatedly so as to push the pistons about 3/4 mm. (ATTENTION TO DO NOT USE  UNTIL IT COMES OUT OF THE CALIPER)

Repel the pistons (avoid to damage the disc and pistons).
Put the brake plate in the caliper.
Repeat the above steps on the other caliper.
Check if the brake lever race has improved.
