The EC/ECE type approval certificate does not apply to the M 1000 R model.

Installation note for 2025 model year motorcycles: The standard passenger footrest bracket is required for installation if the motorcycle is equipped with a single seat.

If the passenger footrests are removed, the optional bracket is essential.
